Program Description
This course is one of the most comprehensive cryptocurrency courses available and will detail creation, tracing, and investigative indications for bitcoin, ethereum, altcoins, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and forks.  Attendees will analyze ideologies of various cryptocurrency ecosystems, review ethical pitfalls of investigative tools, identify patterns of schemes within cryptocurrency, and clarify the minimum amount of information required for discovery, recovery, or an investigation.

What is Covered

Day 1:
Bitcoin and Ethereum
This session will provide a detailed introduction into the creation, use, and features of bitcoin and ethereum. It will identify ideologies of the creators and describe tracing tools.
 
After completing this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Describe the differences between bitcoin and ethereum
  • Identify tracing tools
  • Identify ethical pitfalls of investigations
  • Critique the myths of crytpocurrency
Day 2:
Ecosystems, Risk, and Investigations
This session of the course expands the ideology discussion from Day 1 with indications of cryptocurrency involvement, case study review, and detailed ramifications regarding risk and loss.
 
After completing this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Compose discovery requests for cryptocurrency
  • Describe a fork and detail the ramifications for value and loss
  • List indications of cryptocurrency involvement
  • Demonstrate regulatory guidance and actions
  • Critique and review case studies of schemes
