Who Should Attend
EconAssist is a valuable resource, free to all members.
KeyValueData's National Economic Report (NER) is the only monthly economic report in the industry. EconAssist subscribers receive free access to the January report each year which contains a national economic summary that can be dropped directly into valuation reports. This special quarterly edition of the NER also includes an expanded overview of current economic conditions as well as easy-to-scan, one-page summaries for key economic indicators and historical data for these variables for up to 10 years. These summaries are complemented by clear graphs and charts, which add a consistent visual component to the underlying economic data, and which are included in a separate, easy-to-navigate Microsoft® Excel workbook. The NER is written by Kevin R. Hopkins, a former White House economist and senior Business Week contributor.
TheArchived Industry & Metro Reportsis a compilation of every archived custom report ever produced by KeyValueData’s research staff, except those produced in the last six (6) months. If you added up what valuators actually paid for all these custom research reports, it would total over $1,000,000.
The Federal & State Law Cases is our compilation of all the business valuation (BV) relevant cases and case digests going back 30 years. This library is updated monthly with case summaries included and has always been available to members for a cost, but now it is free. If you are paying for this service from other industry providers, save yourself $300–$500 a year because that is what they charge, and here, you have everything you need for BV case law research for free.
Our Conference Presentations are a goldmine of cutting-edge insight, presented by the industry’s most revered leaders, covering the most important topics of the last 15 years. The vast majority of these presentations/topics are still the focus of industry discussions today. NACVA used to sell each year’s conference materials, but now, this library valued in excess of $10,000 is free to NACVA members.
Our Compensation Data is hard-to-find data provided by the government. What we have done is brought it together in one place to simplify your research. Some providers of this type of data charge hundreds of dollars a year for a single user. This service is free to NACVA members.
S-1 Filings is a treasure-trove of industry information that is often overlooked by valuators because sifting through publically available SEC filings is a daunting task. S-1 filings are required submissions for companies going public that address the industry’s economics, opportunities, and risks. This is an incredibly reliable and rich source for your own research, providing threads to other sources and helping you to quickly become an expert on any industry. KeyValueData is the only service I know of to make this tremendous resource available and easily searchable. Its value cannot be ascertained because we have nothing to compare it to. I do know hundreds of hours went into compiling it, and now it is free to NACVA members.
The Around the Valuation World® webcast is the next generation method of obtaining the latest updates, news, trends, and activity occurring in the rapidly evolving business valuation and financial litigation profession. To support you, we have assembled a team of industry correspondents and the profession’s leading and emerging experts who will be covering the profession’s leading publications and delivering in an online, interactive webcast all you need to know so that at all times, you can be confident that your knowledge is current and accurate as you navigate “Around the Valuation World!” NACVA members and KeyValueData® subscribers can view the monthly Around the Valuation World® webcast at no cost. To receive CPE there is an additional annual cost of $350. No additional discounts. This Annual CPE Subscription includes up to 27 hours of CPE, depending on attendance. Additional CPE can be earned during the subscription term from exclusive access to the AVW archives and completing CPE quizzes. This webcast qualifies for 12 bonus points toward NACVA credentialed member recertification, in addition to course CPE (A minimum of 12 hours attendance required for 12 bonus points).
The EconAssist subscription comes with many other perks like our Business Valuation articles library now with 9,400+ articles archived. The subscription also includes access to our library of free virtual courses and the NACVA Mentor Support Exchange. Plus, there is more—other services/sources we have pulled together to help you perform your valuation research.
Three other important databases that do require a fee but for which we have worked out a special arrangement for our members are: First Research Industry and State Profiles, Bizminer Industry and Metro Financial Reports Suite, and RCReports Reasonable Compensation.
First Research: A warehouse of up to date and historical industry studies (over 1,000 industries) and is the valuation industry’s primary source for this type of research required for every valuation engagement. Each report costs $139—and an annual unlimited access subscription is only $1,099—an absolute bargain.
Bizminer Suite: The gold standard for industry and geographic data covering 9,000 industries by zip code, county, metro area, or state. You will get the most specific and accurate information and metrics not available from any other source. Reports are available in both Excel and PDF formats and are delivered to you immediately. Available as a suite of all three reports for $1,279, or purchase reports separately for $799 each.
RCReports: For business valuators, normalizing a business owner’s compensation is an important piece of the valuation process as there is an inverse relationship between reasonable compensation and value derived
for the enterprise. RCReports makes estimating reasonable compensation quick, easy, and accurate. Two annual subscriptions are available: Basic ($749) and Premium ($1,049).
