In this webinar Excel expert David Ringstrom, CPA helps you go beyond VLOOKUP with regard to using look-up functions in Excel. The webinar starts out with some basics on VLOOKUP, then quickly picks up the pace by showing you how to tweak VLOOKUP with the CHOOSE and MATCH functions. Go farther with the SUMIF and SUMIFS function, and then get an overview of SUMPRODUCT for times when you need backwards compatibility with Excel 2003.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize how to improve the integrity of spreadsheets using Excel’s VLOOKUP function
- Identify the causes of look-up errors and methods to overcome them
- Select the use of wildcards and multiple criteria within look-up formulas
- Recognize the purpose and application of the IFNA function available in Excel 2013 and later
- Determine how to perform dual lookups across columns and rows to cross-reference needed data
- Recognize why the MATCH and INDEX combination is often superior to VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP
