In this engaging session, attendees will explore how a forensic accountant uncovered elder fraud, solving the puzzle of a Ponzi scheme and elder abuse. The presentation follows the step-by-step investigative process used to trace funds, identify unauthorized transfers, and expose a sophisticated pattern of deception. Drawing on over sixteen years of forensic accounting experience, the instructor reveals how financial records, bank statements, and reconstructed data can tell the story of fraud—and how these findings are ultimately presented in court to secure justice for victims.
Through a compelling real-world case study, participants will witness the unraveling of a scheme that cost an elderly victim her life savings and learn how careful analysis, due diligence, and professional skepticism brought the truth to light.
