Program Description:
Business interruption insurance is typically purchased as an endorsement to property insurance. Determining and reaching agreement on the amount of a business interruption loss can be one of the most challenging tasks in the world of insurance. No "off the shelf" approach is suitable in an environment where each loss can be very different from the next. Out of the three elements that are addressed in developing a claim for loss of business income, we will focus on the quantification of the loss.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the first steps in evaluating a business income loss
- Determine which methodology to apply when calculating the loss
- Identify factors impacting business performance
