Program Description:
This session documents, presents, and critiques the audited (by GAO) balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, footnotes, and ancillary reporting (by Treasury and OMB) of the published financial statements reporting the insolvent financial condition of the United States (U.S.) for the last 10 fiscal years. Drill-down analysis will disclose and analyze the revenue (taxation), expenditures, and related categories required to discern the financial performance of our federal decision makers. The analysis comprises traditional and contemporary analytical methods that attendees will recognize as similar to their own analysis of client public/private financial statements.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize the gravity of the U.S.'s insolvent condition.
- Determine the likelihood of legislative actions that will increase Americans' egregious tax burden
- Identify the composition of the U.S.'s taxation and spending patterns
