Program Description:
In this course, Dr. Ashok Abbott explores the different aspects of determining a company's growth rate. Areas explored include assumptions regarding the growth rate, common practices, and biases that are introduced into the growth rate estimation.
Determining a company's growth is a less understood part of business valuation. While the growth rate is a seemingly small number, it is also a critical number as it can drastically change the valuation of a company. Because of this, it is important to understand where, and how the growth rate is applied.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Identify growth rate biases
- Recognize that growth rates are vital to the valuation process
- Determine appropriate growth rates
- Recognize the common practices and assumptions when applying a growth rate
