Program Description:
More than 50 percent of all small business owners are over 50 years old. 80 percent of these business owners are not able to sell their businesses currently because of issues that buyers will back away from. Only 30 percent of these business owners have a written succession plan. There will be a glut of businesses for sale shortly and as exit planners we need to make sure that our clients are at the forefront.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the key components that buyers are looking for in a business that is for sale
- Differentiate these key components the exit planner will be able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the business
- Select and formulate a punch list of items to be addressed along with their projected time frames for completion, this will act as a working guide to achieve ready to sell status
