J. Richard Claywell Outstanding Member Award—Second Quarter 2025

NACVA would like to thank and recognize the following members with the J. Richard Claywell Outstanding Member Award:
Christina LoRusso, MSA, CDFA, CFE, CVA, MAFF
Ms. LoRusso studied at the University of Nevada Las Vegas earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Managerial Finance from the Lee Management School. Her financial services career began at Northwestern Mutual during undergraduate studies. After earning her MS in Accounting in 2009, she changed her focus to tax accounting. Ms. LoRusso began her career as a tax associate before moving on to work as a staff accountant at Sanford Feibusch CPA, PC., where she performed the non-resident tax returns for individuals, LLCs, S corporations, and partnerships for three multinational property management groups whose clientele were from abroad and had properties in various states. As a sole practitioner specialized in business appraisals and financial forensics, Ms. LoRusso established her own firm, Lorusso Forensics LLC, in 2018. As the proprietor of Lorusso Forensics LLC, Ms. LoRusso makes use of her expertise in finance and accounting to support fraud investigations, aid with litigation and ADR, consult, and provide advisory services for cases involving for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Ms. LoRusso became certified in family and basic mediation in 2017. She obtained her CVA certification in 2017, her CFE certification in 2016, and her CDFA certification in 2015. In 2018 she earned her MAFF credential. Via the National Association of Cannabis Accounting and Tax Professionals (NACAT), Ms. LoRusso obtained her certification in cannabis accounting in 2022. Ms. LoRusso is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE and ACFELV), the American Association of University Women, the Clark County Bar Association - non-attorney member, NACAT Pros, NACVA, and the UNLV Alumni Association Lee Business School Chapter. She also serves on the LVMPD Citizen Review Board, a Detention and Inspection Committee, Las Vegas Metro Multicultural Advisory Council (MMAC), and is the current chair of NACVA’s Executive Advisory Board. She likes to be active and spend time with her two kids in her free time.

Jason W. LeRoy, ASA, CVA, CFE
Mr. LeRoy is a Shareholder in the Valuation and Litigation Support Group at Doeren Mayhew. His over 20 years of experience in valuation and litigation matters is focused around preparing business valuations, determining income available for child and spousal support, assisting with discovery, forensic investigations, assisting clients and attorneys at mediation, advising on tax implications of settlements, and providing expert witness testimony. Mr. LeRoy earned the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential through NACVA in 2005. In 2018, NACVA recognized him as a “40 Under Forty” Honoree. Mr. LeRoy is currently serving on NACVA’s Executive Advisory Board. Mr. LeRoy also earned the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential through the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) in 2008. Mr. LeRoy served as a board member of the Detroit Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers from 2008–2021 and has served as President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. He also earned the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in 2015. Mr. LeRoy is a Member of the Business Valuation and Litigation Task Force of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). Mr. LeRoy is a Life Fellow with the Oakland County Bar Foundation and is a regular speaker and author on the topics of business valuation and litigation support.
