If there is one area in which I’ve fallen short it is staying in tune with members at the ground level, specifically looking to your needs, wants, wishes, issues, and complaints. Of course, I get regular and excellent input/advice from NACVA’s many Boards, Committees, Groups, and Task Forces, but this is always centered around an agenda or purpose. What haunts me is what am I missing? Because it is those missing pieces of the complex puzzle of our highly dynamic Association where we might be faltering in our support for our members. If you’ve followed my CEO’s Messages over the years, you’ll know I care deeply about our Association and more particularly our members, specifically your success and what more can we do to assure that. My goal is always to strive to be better and consistently improve, and I can only do that by reaching into our membership ranks and hearing what you have to say.
Beginning with this issue of the Association News, I intend to start a process of taking regular surveys of our membership with the purpose of better understanding the day to day, week to week, challenges you face in your practice to identify how and where we can improve our support in a way that assures your success. This first survey is titled “Association Experience”, which is the starting point and foundation for more questions/surveys to follow. I anticipate and hope this will lead to some changes and improvements, because it doesn’t matter who or what you are, there is always room for improvement. To do that, your support is needed by completing the survey linked below which will be deeply appreciated. To show my appreciation, I will give you a $100 credit voucher good towards any training or product purchase (not dues or fees, however) made by December 31, 2024.
