Outstanding Members—Fourth Quarter 2022
NACVA would like to thank and recognize the following outstanding members:
Sridhar Ramamoorti, ACA, CPA, CFF, CITP, CGMA, CIA, CFE, CFSA, CGAP, CGFM, CICA, CRMA, CRP, MAFF
Dr. Ramamoorti has a unique, blended academic-practitioner background with over 30 years of experience in academia, auditing, and consulting. After finishing his PhD in quantitative psychology from the Ohio State University, he served on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign accountancy faculty. Subsequently, he was a principal in the Professional Standards Group of Arthur Andersen, Sarbanes-Oxley Advisor for Ernst & Young’s National Advisory Practices and a Corporate Governance partner with Grant Thornton. While with Andersen’s HQ in Chicago, Dr. Ramamoorti was a key liaison for a multi-million dollar research collaboration with MIT’s Sloan School. Subsequently, at Ernst & Young, he spearheaded the development of a simulation model for litigation risk management that achieved “patent pending” status with the U.S. Patent & Trademarks Office. As a member of the EY Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services (FIDS) practice, he was a member of in-house firm faculty who developed and delivered training on “Fraud Risk: Assessment and Response” to over 1,000 EY audit partners and principals. He co-authored the COSO 2009 Guidance on Monitoring Internal Control Systems.
Dr. Ramamoorti was the Keynote Speaker at the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and the Consultants’ Training Institute (CTI) 2009 Annual Consultants’ Conference hosted in Boston, MA, and addressed over 800 members on the topic of “Governance, Ethics, and Accountability.” In June 2016, he was elected to NACVA’s Litigation Forensics Board, and to the Board of Trustees of the Financial Executives Research Foundation. He has published extensively, having co-authored over 30 academic and professional articles, and 15 books and monographs. He is also a prolific and sought-after speaker and has made professional presentations in 15 countries.

Jessica Landay, ASA, ABV, CVA, MAFF
Jessica Landay focuses on business valuations of controlling and non?controlling business interests in a wide variety of industries for various purposes. Ms. Landay’s experience includes all phases of engagement, including: financial statement analysis; financial modeling and analysis of data; economic, industry, and market research; ratio analysis; application of various valuation approaches and methods; management interviews; preparation of valuation reports and exhibits; and rebuttal analyses and report preparation. Her experience also includes damages analyses for litigation support in a variety of cases.
Ms. Landay is actively involved in the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts as a Mentor, she has previously served on NACVA's Valuation Credentialing Board, and currently serves on the Colorado/Wyoming State Chapter of NACVA. She has authored articles and presented on valuation topics for various organizations. Jessica was awarded NACVA's 40 Under Forty Award in 2017.

Louis J. Pereira, MBA, CBA, ASA, CVA, CBI
Lou Pereira has over 30 years of relevant business valuation experience, including 12 years in corporate mergers and acquisitions, and 18 years in private practice. Lou earned an MBA and holds CBA, ASA, CVA, and CBI credentials. He is President of Merrimack Business Appraisers, a faculty member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, has taught degree-credited courses in Accounting and Finance at the university level, and testified as a business valuation expert in multiple venues. He is an active member of the Board of Directors of the New England Business Brokers Association, a past member of the Board of Governors of the IBA, and member of the Board of Governors, course developer, instructor, and lead subject matter expert for the International Business Brokers Association.
