Program Description

Knowing and adhering to professional ethics and performing professional services free from bias and conflicts of interest are critical to properly serving as an expert witness in matrimonial litigation engagements.

Failure to know and follow these constraints has disqualified or tarnished the opinions of many expert witnesses and interfered with the proper adjudication of litigation settlements.

This webinar will provide "real-life" examples of how experts have gone astray to their detriment, thus providing the participant the benefit of learning from other's mistakes.

Learning Objectives

After completing this webinar, attendees will be able to:

- Identify proper professional ethical conduct and recognize whether a CPA serving as an expert witness has a conflict of interest
- List ethical and objectivity constraints in performing matrimonial litigation services

Who Should Attend

Attorneys, CPAs, valuators, and other practitioners who serve as an expert witness in matrimonial litigation engagements
