Program Description
This course offers valuation professionals a clear, practical introduction to using AI responsibly in valuation report writing. Building on the recent QuickRead article, the presentation focuses on how analysts can incorporate AI tools to improve clarity, efficiency, and workflow without compromising professional judgment or analytical rigor.

Participants will learn where AI adds the most value in the writing process—including draft refinement, structuring complex explanations, and summarizing analytical steps—and where human expertise must remain central. The course also highlights common risks such as over-reliance, loss of nuance, and confidentiality concerns, offering practical safeguards and review strategies.

Real examples illustrate how to transform raw AI output into polished, defensible report language. Attendees will leave with actionable techniques they can apply immediately, along with guidance for developing personal and firm-level best practices for AI use in valuation writing.

How You Will Benefit
After completing this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify appropriate use cases for AI in valuation report writing, including draft refinement, clarity improvements, and the summarization of analytical steps
  • Distinguish between tasks that AI can support effectively and those that require the analyst's professional judgment, analytical reasoning, and domain expertise
  • Apply practical techniques for transforming raw AI-generated text into polished, defensible report language that aligns with valuation standards and firm expectations
  • Evaluate AI-assisted writing for accuracy, tone, completeness, and compliance using a structured review framework tailored to valuation practice
  • Recognize common risks associated with AI use—including over-reliance, loss of nuance, and confidentiality concerns—and implement safeguards to mitigate them
  • Describe personal and firm-level best practices for responsible AI use, including documentation habits, transparency considerations, and strategies for training junior analysts
  • Integrate AI tools into the valuation writing workflow to enhance efficiency and communication without compromising the integrity of the analyst's conclusions
Take Aways
After completing this course, attendees will be able to use AI tools to enhance clarity, structure, and efficiency in valuation report writing while maintaining full professional judgment and analytical rigor. They will be able to identify appropriate use cases for AI, apply practical techniques for refining and reviewing AI-assisted text, and recognize common risks such as over-reliance and confidentiality concerns. Participants will also be able to evaluate AI-generated language for accuracy, defensibility, and compliance with valuation standards. Finally, participants will leave with actionable strategies for integrating AI into their workflow in a responsible, repeatable, and well-documented way.
