Program Description
Paul Cronin of Successful Transition Planning Institute (STPI), will challenge your assumptions, share stories of both his clients and his own transitions, some facts and figures, and a path that motivates business owners towards their succession plan.
Sometimes called the "psychology of business succession", personal transition planning involves the emotional and intellectual issues that are present in business owners, as they contemplate leaving their companies. Owners and advisors must be aware of "what is going on inside" - and the sooner the better. Why? Because an owner whose personal needs, fears, and wants are not being addressed in the succession process will often find "irrational" reasons for procrastinating or even sabotaging the process.
"Caveat Emptor" may mean "Buyer Beware", but it applies equally to advisors.
STPI's programs seek to reveal the hidden issues of the business owner, so he/she can be fully prepared to do real business succession planning and lead to a happier life, or what STPI calls The Platinum Years®.
Learning Objectives
