Program Description

In this webinar, Mr. Christopher Snider addresses the myth that exit planning is something unique only to be undertaken upon an owner's decision to transition their business. To the contrary, Mr. Snider demonstrates how exit strategy is business strategy. Exit planning practices should be a core driver of the business and integrated into the rhythm of daily operations.

In his presentation, Mr. Snider reviews a process for correlating a business valuation and an exit readiness assessment using this assessment to determine and quantify value-enhancement opportunities. He further demonstrates how the exit planning process is used as the driver of business strategy.

Learning Objectives

After completing this webinar, attendees will be able to:

- Explain how the exit strategy process can be used to develop business strategy
- Correlate business value to exit readiness
- Use exit readiness to justify unsystematic risk premium and choose an appropriate market multiple for valuation purposes
- Use exit readiness to determine value enhancement opportunities and assign a dollar value to the opportunities
- Explain the difference between risk mitigating value enhancements versus strategic value enhancements

Who Should Attend

The webinar is appropriate for any professional advisor who engages with owners to help them exit/transition their business. This includes attorneys, CPAs, wealth managers, financial planners, bank executives, insurance professionals, investment bankers, and business brokers. This presentation could also be appropriate for business owners who are interested in learning how exit planning can be used to help develop business strategy.
