#12 | Academic Achievements
Fostering strategic alliances within the academic community is central to our mission. Addressing urgent fraud, cyber, and ethics issues brought to the forefront in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic, NACVA|CTI co-sponsored content building and the virtual delivery of the Dayton Fraud, Cyber, and Ethics Conference with the University of Dayton Center for Cybersecurity and Data Intelligence, Axium Consulting, the Behavioral Forensics Group, LLC, and ACFE SE Ohio. The event will be repeated in October 2021.
I am honored to share the news that in 2020 I began a two-year term as Vice President for Practice for the Forensic Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. During my tenure, I will collaborate with worldwide institutions of higher learning to bridge academia with practice and to cultivate opportunities for students to find promising career opportunities in our profession. Contact me at BrienJones@NACVA.com if you are interested in “paying it forward” and assisting me with this future-forward initiative. I welcome your support.

#5 | HQ Staff
Chin up! We commend our highly skilled and talented HQ staff for maintaining our legacy of world-class customer service and support. Together we navigated the global pandemic, transitioned to home-based workplaces, reengineered our operations, endured an earthquake, arctic superstorm, and a season of raging wildfires. Kudos to a job well done!
#4 | CVA and MAFF Remote Proctored Exams
As a result of widespread quarantine and social distance measures, thousands of testing centers closed worldwide, leaving no options for CVA and MAFF credential candidates to complete certification exams. The CVA is accredited through both the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Accordingly, we were faced with only one option—to seek approval from our accrediting bodies to offer live remote proctoring. We met the stringent criteria, received provisional approval, and implemented strict protocols to be able to securely offer the CVA and MAFF certification exams remotely from anywhere there is an internet connection.
#3 | Standards and Ethics Resources
