The peer review of valuation reports offered through the Case Analysis In-Person (CAP) or Case Analysis by Webinar (CAW) sessions provides authors of valuation reports with perspectives from like-mined valuators. The valuation reports are reviewed and discussed in a round table format with particular emphasis centered on whether or not the critical elements of the valuation report are sufficiently addressed and meet professional standards guidelines, while also identifying strengths and weaknesses of the report relating to overall readability, credibility, and persuasiveness. These interactive sessions are ideal settings to engage in a discussion with your peers about the potential risks to a valuator’s credibility by issuing reports that do not meet professional standards and reporting requirements.
This course qualifies for bonus points toward NACVA Credentialed member recertification, in addition to course CPE. Registrants after September 1, 2024 will receive bonus points and tri-annual recertification fee waivers based on the updated policy effective July 1, 2024. Learn more here.
After completing this course, attendees will be able to:
- Recognize the do’s and don’ts of writing an effective report
- Determine techniques that they can take back to the office to use or avoid

Do you have a valuation report you would like reviewed in our Case Analysis program? By submitting a sanitized report, you can receive constructive feedback from your peers to shore up your reports. There are benefits for members submitting a report: 1) Attend a CAP/CAW session for free; 2) You will receive a greatly discounted price on attendance to Report Writing: Review and Analysis; and 3) You may qualify for royalty payments for the use of your report in future CAP/CAW programs and in NACVA’s Reports Library if you decide to let us use it.
