Important Virtual Course Information—FAQs
Below is some important information that will help explain how a CTI course works that is delivered virtually and the steps you will be taking prior to and following the virtual course.
Description
Courses delivered virtually offer exceptional convenience and are very cost effective. No travel is required, and they are ideal for brown-bag lunch training. All attendees can earn continuing professional education (CPE) credit for participating in the course, (e.g., a two-hour course = two CPE credits).
Attendees will gain access to all course materials through the NACVA/CTI Online Campus. Attendees will also be able to view the instructor's PowerPoint (PPT) slides during the course.
Our virtual courses are live, interactive learning experiences. Attendees can ask questions and get answers in real time.
Who’s Who in a Virtual Course
- The NACVA/CTI Moderator begins the course, conducts online polling questions, and announces the instructions and reminders (also referred to as “housekeeping” items).
- Presenters deliver the informational content of the course and are responsible for creation of all presentation materials (PPT slides, handouts, etc.).
- Attendees register for the courses and receive access to the NACVA/CTI Online Campus containing all information needed for the course. An e-mail will also be sent out one business day prior with the Zoom link and other information.
If any preparation is required prior to the course, it will be indicated in the course details. Also, the marketing materials will contain this information.
Informational E-mails
Upon registration, it is vitally important that you watch your e-mail box for important e-mails about your course. Please check your Spam and Junk folders as sometimes e-mails will be delivered there.
Obtaining Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit for Courses that include CPE
For any course that includes CPE, there will be periodic online “polling questions” displayed during the course to assess continuous participation. Attendees must respond to all “polling questions” during the course to be awarded NASBA-qualified CPE. Attendees that respond to all “polling questions” will be verified and the certificates will be posted to the individual’s account on NACVA.com within 7–10 business days. For any questions related to CPE certificates, send an e-mail to CPE@NACVA.com.
