Program Description
This course offers a comprehensive overview of how to value daycare and early learning centers; an essential and resilient sector with strong investment potential. Attendees will learn about key valuation drivers, including enrollment capacity, tuition structures, cost management, regulatory considerations, and market multiples. We will explore the financial benchmarks, revenue models, and operational factors that impact both independent and franchise daycare centers. Whether you are a valuation professional, investor, or industry advisor, this course will equip you with actionable insights into assessing the value of childcare businesses.

How You Will Benefit
After completing this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify the key financial and operational drivers that influence the valuation of daycare and early learning centers, including enrollment capacity, tuition pricing, and cost structures
  • Evaluate different valuation methodologies and market multiples used to determine fair market value, with consideration for both independent centers and franchise models
  • Determine critical factors that enhance or diminish business value, such as regulatory compliance, staffing efficiency, facility utilization, and revenue diversification
Take Aways
Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how key revenue drivers—such as enrollment capacity, tuition rates, and regulatory requirements—directly impact the valuation of daycare and early learning centers. The course will provide practical insights into applying both income and market-based valuation approaches, using real-world benchmarks and transaction multiples. Participants will learn to identify and evaluate critical value drivers and risk factors in both independent and franchise models. Additionally, the course will cover how staffing ratios, real estate ownership, and access to grant funding influence profitability and business worth. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to enhance a center’s valuation through operational efficiencies, strategic positioning, and accreditation.
