Program Description
This session provides a basic understanding of what NFTs are and the major types of ownership NFTs which may require specialized valuation: single use, reusable, perpetuals, and real asset NFTs. It covers valuation considerations for each type and an orientation on reading NFT blockchain explorer webpages and navigating them to unearth additional information.

Stacey Ferris, CPA, CFE
Stacey Ferris is an Associate Director with HKA's Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages group. She is a CPA and CFE with over a decade of experience in forensic accounting and an adjunct professor of accounting at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business teaching a course she developed on blockchain and digital assets. This training is based in part on her October 2022 Journal of Accountancy article introducing the four types of NFTs.
