More than 50 perecent of all small business owners are over 50 years old. 80 percent of these business owners are not able to sell their businesses currently because of issues that buyers will back away from. Only 30 percent of these business owners have a written succession plan. There will be a glut of businesses for sale shortly and as exit planners we need to make sure that our clients are at the forefront.
