NACVA Chosen Exclusive Distributor for
New Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis

Edited by Dr. Bradley Ewing and Dr. James Hoffman of Texas Tech University, the Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis (JBVELA) is published biannually by the Berkeley Electronic Press. NACVA has been selected as the exclusive distributor of this newly launched publication, the first and only peer-reviewed academic journal in the increasingly important field of business valuation studies.

To bridge the significant gap between academic and practitioner communities, each issue of the journal features three types of articles: scholarly studies that advance the field of business valuation or economic loss analysis; case studies in accounting, finance, litigation, and strategic management; and studies of recent legal rulings. Valuators, accountants, attorneys, and financial analysts will find in-depth conceptual studies that impact their day-to-day work, while scholars of economics, finance, management, and law will find valuable real-world examples to complement their research.

Citations of the premier issue of JBVELA include “Lost Profits Damages to New Businesses: Adjusting for Survival,” by David A. MacPherson and Stanley P. Stephenson, “The Value of Life: A New Labor Theory-Based Model,” by Mahmoud Arayssi, Sarkis Joseph Khoury, and Raniea Uwaydah Mardini, “On the Time Series Properties of Medical Net Discount Rates,” by Amit Sen and Gregory Gelles, “The Pancake Palace: A Case Study in Business Interruption from the Defense Side,” by James A. DiGabriele, “A Methodology for Valuing Tiered Entities,” by Dennis A. Webb and Lari B. Masten, and “Business Valuation Basics for Attorneys,” by William P. Dukes. Abstracts are available at www.bepress.com/jbvela.

Papers may be submitted to JBVELA for publication consideration by visiting www.bepress.com/jbvela, then clicking on “Submit Article.”
