Greg Gadawski, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFE, CIRA

I am honored to be selected as one of NACVA’s Outstanding Members. I believe this selection is a direct result of the opportunities that have been put before me. I have been partners with Darrell Dorrell in financialforensics® since the year 2000. Darrell sparked my interest in world of Business Valuation and encouraged me to work towards obtaining my CVA, my first exposure to NACVA.

Over the years, I have worked with Darrell Dorrell to develop/refine the Forensic Accounting/Investigation Methodology© (FA/IM©), our proprietary Internet-based process map. FA/IM© provides the framework for the Financial Forensics Academy™, an intense five-day workshop offered by the NACVA and the Consultants’ Training Institute. For the past five years I have served as a contributor and instructor for the Financial Forensics Academy™. During this period I have had the distinct pleasure of working with the numerous dynamic personalities at NACVA as well as other professionals that share my passion for forensic accounting. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to serve as an instructor and in 2010 I was privileged to be awarded NACVA’s Instructor of the Year.

I have also served as co-chair for the Forensic Accounting track at NACVA’s annual conference the past two years. Yet another great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and connect with experts in our respective industry.

I enjoy working on complex litigation and fraud matters. I have also served as forensic accountant to the receiver in multiple receiverships. These receiverships are typically the result of some type of securities fraud and/or Ponzi scheme. I find these matters fascinating as they often involve a cast of characters and never seem to disappoint in the department of unique or unusual stories.

I often try to bring humor to the workplace, albeit sometimes misguided. We often find ourselves working in a high-stress litigation environment and we need to make sure that we take time to enjoy the lighter side of things.

When I am not serving as an advocate for my opinion or fighting crime, I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife and four children (all under the age of 8!!!). Needless to say, my kids tend to keep me running. Finally, in my remaining free time I attempt to knock that little white ball into the hole, or as my co-workers call it “playing pasture pool.”
