Capitalization/Discount Rates: Assessing the Alternatives

Program Content

Someday the determination of capitalization/discount rates could become a true science. But right now, it is not there. For this reason, you need to know everything about this subject. This advanced course covers all the common, and even some less common, approaches to this most important component of the valuation process. The instructor provides a solid section on using Ibbotson. You will learn to better assess risks and determine the most appropriate approach in given situations.

Highly recommended book: Value of Risk by William Hanlin, Jr. and Richard Claywell, NACVA, available at NACVA.
